Kaspersky stops after updating dating game for boys and girls

Facing an irritating but hopefully simple issue here.I was looking through Kaspersky Security Center the other day and noticed that the KES policy was only being applied to 11 of 33 workstations, but the Network Agent policy was being applied to all 33.I looked around to find a solution and found Ray (Kaspersky)'s answer on Spice Works here: https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/403490-settings-not-applying-with-kaspersky-10. I checked our KES network deploy package and sure enough it was set to "custom" with none of the boxes checked.I set it to "standard" and tested it by uninstalling KES on one workstation and then deploying it again with the Network Agent. The workstation was happily running under the policy.I then deployed KES to all 14 workstations using the preconfigured network install package set on "standard".After it had finished I started going back to the workstations and looking around, and noticed that a few of the workstations weren't under the policy anymore, including my test case from yesterday.About 5 days ago, I found that Kaspersky isn’t updating the virus database automatically, and decided to find a fix for this issue. If you’re also having trouble in automatically updating Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security, you could try out the following solutions.

It’s one of the best, if not the best, security application developers for Windows operating system. If you're running Windows XP through 7, simply double-click the icon in the task bar or click the Start button and open the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 folder to find the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 application. If you don't see it in either place, open the Program Files folder on your hard drive and find the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 folder and application there.Start by performing the most typical troubleshooting steps, like checking for software updates that may affect Kaspersky's interface, then try a few slightly more advanced techniques, like reinstalling the application or checking for corrupt files. If Kaspersky suddenly does not open in the usual way, the first thing you should do is check for an updated version of the software.

Unless I am some sort of kaspersky fanboy I will never be too inclined to the idea of using Kaspersky over Norton.
